The Ancient Order of Hibernians hosted Jennifer Paxton, Professor of History at Catholic University of America. Prof. Paxton gave a talk on “The Vikings in Ireland”. She covered the history of Viking incursions into Ireland, their conflict and eventual assimilation with the Irish, and the wide variety of Viking influences on Irish history and culture.
