Catholic Charities Christ House
We regularly serve dinner and help with unloading food at Christ House.
Every Friday from 10am to 11am, Christ House needs men to help unload their food delivery truck. Just show up – when we have more hands it can be done in as little as 20 minutes! Address is 4725A Eisenhower Avenue.
About once a month, AOH brothers cook and serve dinner to those who need it at the Christ House location in Old Town. Show up between 4pm and 5:30pm and look for the guys in green shirts! Location is corner of West St. and Prince St. See the events page for details.
AOH Tent at festivals
We regularly need volunteers to help with setup, takedown, raffle and ornament sales, and recruiting at these local festivals:
Labor Day weekend – International Festival at Good Shepherd parish
September – Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Festival in Old Town
September – Samuel Beckett’s Celtic Festival in Shirlington
October – Oktoberfest at St. Mary’s Basilica School
December – St. Nicholas Day Market at St. Rita’s parish
Parish Outreach
We regularly visit new parishes to speak about AOH, sell raffle tickets and ornaments, and recruit new members.
