Brothers and Madam President,
I have been asked by Bill McCabe, President of the Monsignor Bradican Division, to pass along this request for your Division or Board participation in Saint Patrick parades in Northern Virginia and DC.
It is a new year and 2013 is already moving at full steam. The calendar shows but a few scant weeks until St. Patrick’s Day and we have allot of activity planned within that time frame. Currently under design is a parade float we intend to enter into all three of the major parades in our area.
We will again be showcasing the 10 foot high Celtic Cross we built last year to celebrate the union of our ancient Irish heritage with the word of God that was taught to us by our great patron saints. All brothers are encouraged to participate and march alongside the cross in any or all of the events. Banner and pike bearers are needed. In addition, our float design will incorporate seating to allow brothers that may be unable to march the parade route to continue to participate and swell our ranks. Anyone interested in riding the float in the parade can contact me atwilliam_mccabe@avalonbay.com or J. J. Kelly at cell phone 703.475.9415.
