AOH Alexandria went on a special tour of the Mount Vernon Distillery and Grist Mill. Irish-American hero Colonel John Fitzgerald played a role in opening the original distillery. He was a close friend and aide of George Washington. When Washington decided to open a distillery, Fitzgerald advised him on his business plans.
