ST. PATRICK’S DAY — TIME TO GET YOUR GREEN ON (and get some “green” for the raffle!)

Brothers,

I hope Irish American Heritage Month is treating you well.

As you know, this Sunday, March 17th, at Ireland’s Own, we will draw the winner from our months of raffle ticket sales for a trip for two to Ireland.

Sunday will also be a good day to sell tickets ahead of that night’s drawing.

On the 17th, Ireland’s Own has scheduled seatings at the tables in the tent every two hours all day.  There is a seating for breakfast at 9am, seatings for lunch at 11 am, 1 pm and 3pm, followed by dinner seatings at 5 and 7 pm.  That means a different crowd to sell to every two hours or so.  When Pat and I finish the radio show on Sunday, we plan to sell tickets in the tent during the 1pm seating.  We are looking for volunteers willing to sell during other seatings.  As the crowd builds in the Ireland’s Own bar area during the day, we can sell to those folks too after we’ve hit the tables in the tent.

The drawing will take place at about 9:30 pm on the stage inside the bar.  Brother Terry Riley’s daughter will do some Irish dancing on stage just before the drawing and Pat has asked her to pull the winning ticket.

Hopefully in the 90 minutes or so leading up to the drawing, we can generate a lot of last minute sales inside the bar and inside the tent as well.  It would be great if we can have a lot of members present to sell tickets and generate hype in anticipation of the drawing.  If you have a lovely green jacket, please wear it when you come.  If you don’t have a green jacket, come anyway!

If you are volunteering for a shift during the day, please let me know so I can alert Pat and Bernie Troy.

Thanks

Jim
